While in grad school, I set out to create a series of quote posters as fun and as a weekly design challenge for myself to stay creative while exploring type and typography.

For what started out as a year-long project (and continued well into its three-year project), I would create and print a poster with a quote on it every week. The quotes ranged in their tone, the people who said/wrote them, and how they looked, but two things stayed constant in this series—that they should always inspire and that beautiful typography was vital.
