While I was in graduate school, the Director of the Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group asked me to create visually engaging graphics for the interactive set of their production of Avenue Q. Drawing inspiration from Sesame Street and The Simpsons, I illustrated scenes using digital construction paper and layered them to achieve the desired effect. To ensure that the graphics did not overshadow the actors and puppets on stage, I opted for simple colors and the construction paper technique, which effectively complemented the performances without overwhelming the scene.
